Please Join Hub Bay Area and Fair Trade USA as we head into World Fair Trade Day with a very special Wine Down evening at the Hub. Two visiting artisans from Peru will be at Hub Berkeley to share with us the history of their collectives, explain how fair trade has affected their lives, demonstrate their jewelry making and knitting, and present unique and beautiful Fair Trade products for sale.
Green America and Partners for Just Trade present "Crafting Change: a Fair Trade Tour, visiting over half a dozen communities in the Pacific Northwest from May 10th to May 25th. Sonia Anahue, from the jewelry cooperative, Munay Rumi, and Yody Moran, from the knitting group El Mercurio, will share how dignified work has changed their lives. Whole Foods Market Fair Hills/Bus Stop wines from South Africa will be served.
