...Wirikuta or Cerro del Quemado in the Real de 14 Desert of Northern Mexico, a vital source of medicine for the original peoples of the land is under attack by FIRST MAJESTIC SILVER CORP a Canadian mining company which plans to blow up the very mountain which witnesses the birth of the sun in the ancient ceremonies of the Huichol.
We want to move you into inspired action by attending our gathering on April 9th. We will open with ritual and prayer by Poet/RoadMan Jorge Argueta, then a short film about the importance of saving Wirikuta, a little bit of music by MamaCoAtl and friends, and instead of intermission we shall have and InterAction! bring your laptop, your black berry, your i touches, etc, whatever means you have of flexing your social media muscle and blast the lines with our petitions. We ask you to involve a minimum of 10 people from your networks.
