ANSWER supports the Syrian dictatorship that is gunning down protesters. Need I say more?
Where does ANSWER or their affilated party the PSL say they support the Syrian regime . That simply doesn't make sense . Not only did the Syrian Govt. back the 1991 Gulf war but they have imprisoned , tortured and murdered many Communists and Socialists over the decades.
So reprint any ANSWER or even PSL statement or article that supports the Syrian regime or retract that allegation .
Opposing any US/NATO attack Yes but not any support for that govt.

ANSWER supports The Iran and Syrian regimes because they are "anti-imperialist" and support "liberation" movements like Hezbollah and Hamas. This isn't a secret.
Here's a link about Hugo Chavez supporting the Syria regime:

you didn't exactly provide the evidence for your claim that you were asked for
guilt by association by association ain't good enough for your clear-cut accusation, if you're trying to imply some line between ANSWER and Chavez and then by extension Syria's rulers
time to put up or shut up. prove ANSWER is down for Syria's authoritarians over its people or stop making that same comment on every possible related thread here. provide a link to THAT or stfu

Okay doubters here's a quote article from the Party of Liberation and Socialism that shows their support for the Syrian regime (and also Iran's theocracy)
To group together countries like Iran and Syria with Egypt and Tunisia is overlooking the obvious fact that the former are governed by states that stand for their country’s independence, the latter by states representing imperialist interests. This difference is not coincidental, of secondary significance or a variation in form.

The assertion that "Iran and Syria [...] are governed by states that stand for their country’s independence" hardly translates to "support for the Syrian regime (and also Iran's theocracy)", although I do think that PSL doesn't do a good job, in general, of distinguishing between defending a state with an oppressive regime against imperialism and defending the policies and practices of that regime. But their error in one direction is a lot less harmful than the more common error of not defending such states against imperialism, or being equivocal in that defense.
Also, although PSL is the leadership of ANSWER, they don't impose all their political positions on the latter. Many members or supporters of ANSWER do, in fact, have major differences with PSL on some of its positions. They work with it because it does a good job of organizing anti-imperialist demonstrations.

Syria and Iran are headed by national bourgeoisie and stand against imperialism. Those attempting to undermine either government stand with Imperialism. Those demonstrating against the Syrian government are in league with Israel and the United States. Long live the government of Syria and Bashar Al-Assad.
Down with Obama and his hypocritical calls for Assad to step down.
