San Francisco City Hall favors hurdles for small businesses and imposing undue taxes.
San Francisco, more SF City Hall favors putting hurdles in the way of small businesses that bring in most of the taxes for this City and County of San Francisco. The small businesses get little if nothing for their, hard earned taxes. However, the SF Board of Supervisors - now favor giving large corporations, and companies like TWITTER that have an equity of over $4 Billion - breaks on taxes and other amenities that the City will have to fork out - like foot patrols and MUNI transportation. Go figure.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors and especially David Chiu the current SF Board of Supervisor, President David Chiu is positioning himself to be - the the next Mayor of San Francisco. He has some competition with the sitting City Attorney and a State Senator Leland Yee - also running for Mayor of San Francisco. Others too may to mention - and all wanting to be Mayor of San Francisco to serve their own, selfish, corrupt - agendas.
In the interim David Chiu, joined by Carmen Chu and others want to give big breaks to TWITTER that has an equity of over $4.5 Billion and really does not need the City's help. Our SF City is over $60 million in the hole - and this will grow as the months near the City's fiscal, year.
TWITTER must behave like an other mature Corporation - this City has been good to TWITTER - and if TWITTER wants to return the favor by behaving like a brat - then, it is time for TWITTER to Twit away and fade away in oblivion.
The Central and Mid-Market has NOT been given any due attention by the City and County of San Francisco - for many years. It is the same with Bayview Hunters Point and some other areas mostly in district 5, 10 and 11 that this City has decided - not to pay attention to.
For sure it loves to take in the taxes - millions from the industrial small businesses in District 10 where over eighty percent of the industrial businesses - operate. No one has given these businesses a break - all these many years. It is always about taking and taking, and taking and taking. Milking the cow - dry.
At San Francisco City Hall for the past two years we have seen the SF Board Supervisor and others deprive decent citizens, their time - to speak at Public Comment. Once three minutes was a given - but now that has been reduced to two, measly minutes.
In recent times the public is given just two minutes to express themselves. For years the Public did go to City Hall and were afforded the mandated three minutes. For some even three minutes in some little time - it depends on the topic.
Now, we see the SF Supervisors spew diatribe - but when it comes to the Public at Large they are given a measly two minutes.
Mr. James Chaffee and others have brought this issue to the SF Board of Supervisors - but, these idiots who deem themselves REPRESENTATIVES aka SF Board of Supervisors (BOS) - have chosen to deprive the constituents of San Francisco their mandated - right to speak.
There is some law that states - that if there is a large crowd - you could keep Public Comment to half an hour and then impose some limited time.
However, we have been noticing - when there are five or six people that wish to speak - the BUFFOONS who deem themselves REPRESENTATIVES - offer a limited two minutes and that is all.
The SF BOS on the other hand can spew all the diatribe the can - some for over ten to twenty minutes at a time.
Carmen Chu when she Chairs any meeting - will make silly comments like: "hold your applause" to permit Public Comment. Contradiction in terms - Public Comment was once three minutes and no one cautioned anyone about applause. Jerks like Carmen Chu are bringing a bad name to the SF Board of Supervisor and the decorum that once existed in Room 250 - the SF BOS - chambers.
You never, ever heard such comments before - chiding the public. The woman has an attitude and one that is despicable. This is the woman who was anointed when Ed Jew was removed from office. Now that she has been given District 4 on a platter - she thinks no end to herself. ET.
As months go by recently - the SF Board of Supervisors are meeting behind close doors - with some very corrupt forces - and when these drab meetings are held - most of the agenda has already been discussed, decided upon and the decision taken.
The above explanation is given so that the readers know what really has happened to San Francisco and the present SF BOS. We in San Francisco - have lost the ability to express ourselves at City Hall.
When this happens the so called drab Representatives do not get the impulse of the community. And, when the Representatives do not get the impulse of the community - everything decent, good, wholesome - fails and falls by the wayside.
I remember that "thug" Mayor - Willie Lewis Brown Jr. say again and again - that San Francisco - spends too much time on process. Of course, we must spend time on process - because process gives you clarity. Brings to the fore Accountability and Transparency - more true representation of what the they people want and exposes corruption. Sheds light where there is darkness.
Yesterday, Chis Daly showed up and as usual tried to rock the boat to no avail.
After the sordid discussion on whether to give TWITTER the breaks - went back and forth - with Jane Kim not revealing the details of the Community Benefits Agreement - yet, telling the world that she and David Chiu will see to it that all the Supervisors - get, to read the CBA a day or two before it is sent to the full SF Board of Supervisors (BOS).
It is this type of nonsense - pre-supposing that the BOS know everything and we the people - some, if nothing.
It all leads to Public Comment and those that are deprived from representing the people, truly.
Our present SF BOS are jerks - just watch the proceedings and you will find out these vermin are there mostly for their own private agendas. Less for the people that pay them their fat salaries with benefits. Our present SF BOS have lowered the standards of representation and that is the main reason - why so many people who live in San Francisco are suffering.
Over fifty percent of our City population are Senior Citizens - over forty five percent have some sort of disability. This City does not care about this population. This City the City of Saint Francis Assisi - always put compassion first - no more with the likes of David Chiu and Carmen Chu and other likes them.
Small businesses are the back bone of this great City, we call San Francisco - but in the last five years - thousands of small businesses have left San Francisco.
This City will tax you for everything, make parking difficult for the customers, delay your permits after paying huge sums, make you sweat for almost everything - ADA and other amenities, that the City loves to have in place.
What is most disgusting - never, ever thank the small businesses for providing jobs, revitalizing many neighborhoods - making San Francisco look good. This City and the many so called Representatives - do not give a rat's ass.
Then come Election Time they will promise you the work - and after the election - shaft you any way they can.
Yesterday's, Budget and Finance meeting brought out many constituents who clearly disagreed with the SF BOS.
However, come next Tuesday, March 29, 2011 - the TWITTER crap will be on the SF BOS full meeting - agenda. Some one will propose to give TWITTER a break and by a margin of 7-4 the measure will be passed.
Willie L. Brown Jr., the Pacific Heights Mafia, folks like Jim Lazarus, Ed Lee the interim Mayor, Mr. Dipstick aka Gavin Newsom, others too many to mention - will rejoice.
It really does not matter what the constituents of San Francisco think and deliberate, it does not matter what our Elders think, the many small businesses that pay their taxes. It does not matter if those that have stood for justice and fair play are slapped on the face. What matters most to these buffoons is positioning themselves for their next office. Building their corrupt - portfolio.
It does not matter if people living around the old Furniture Mart feel they will be adversely impacted.
Many work three jobs to make ends meet. The Mayor's Office of Economic Development, the down-town Big Boys that lobby, the Pacific Heights Mafia, the corrupt so called SF Board of Supervisors all favor corrupt interest and have no intention to listen - less serve those that these vermin, every election make promises - to do this and that and do not keep their - promises, ever.
Write your SF Board of Supervisors and tell them they are making a fool of themselves - pandering to the corrupt and those that do not have the better interest of the people of San Francisco. Stop giving breaks to those that really do not need it. Stop pandering and catering to special interests. Learn to serve the public at large and especially those that need help. San Francisco is a City of Compassion - and not a City of Jerks - that most of BOS - project to be.
