Drawn from a lifelong immersion in the ancient martial traditions of Japan by Morihei Ueshiba; O'Sensei, Aikido operates on a spectrum from sharply practical martial awareness to metaphysical practices of sensing the more subtle energies within and around us. We'll focus on re-aligning ourselves with the innately powerful natural movements we were born with, and applying that cultivation of personal integrity to connecting with the movements of other bodies that "invade" our space, redirecting aggressive energy with the potential for not inflicting harm, but strongly "suggesting" reconsideration. We use the physical practice as a very tangible application of these concepts; however, the principles are very directly applicable to all of life's challenges (social, creative, etc...).
