Heirloom, popular and unusual varieties of tomato, sweet and spicy peppers seedlings suitable for our cool and foggy climate will be sold Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the College of San Mateo Greenhouse, 1700 Hillsdale Blvd., San Mateo. Grown organically from seed by University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardeners of San Mateo and San Francisco, volunteers will be on hand sale day to answer gardening and pest control questions.
