Today on Dr Martin Luther's King day - where is the MORAL conscience in San Francisco?
Today on Dr Martin Luther King's Day - where is the MORAL conscience on matters of importance in San Francisco? The MACHINE still controls the main events of the day, thugs that work for the MACHINE, the likes of the Pacific Heights Mafia and Willie L. Brown Jr. continue to do more damage then good. People of color suffer, one in three children go to bed hungry in the Southeast Sector. The City and County of San Francisco - panders to the "thugs" and the voice of the COMMONS - is silenced.
Today is Dr Martin Luther King's Day and on this day - thousands will be paying "lip service".
I ask where is the Moral Conscience in this City of Saint Francis of Assisi - where is the compassion and why do we have to target the poor and those that need help most?
Why is it in the 2011 one of the richest City in our Nation - knows for a fact that one in three children go to bed hungry? In the Southeast Sector of our City - Potrero Hill, Bayview Hunters Point, Oakdale Public Housing, Little Hollywood, Visitation Valley, Sunnydale Public Housing, and beyond - where is the Moral Conscience?
Why is it that we do not respect our Elders - and permit a Rogue Developer known as LENNAR to bombard large areas with toxic dust and other dangerous elements - and harm our dear Elders but also our children?
Where is the Moral Conscience in this so called City and County of San Francisco?
Even as Latinos and Asians have changed the demographics in the Bayview Hunters Point and Visitation Valley - we see that the contamination some over 600 toxic hot spots outside the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard - have not been abated. Why?
This is the responsibility of the City and County of San Francisco. The responsibility that Mayors Diane Feinstein, Willie L. Brown, Gavin Newsom and others - did nothing about. Why?
Our population is about 816,000. We have over 26,000 City employees. This works out - for every 28 constituents we have one City Employee? Why? Why do we need over 6000 Administrative Assistants? Why?
Where is the Moral Conscience when with INTENT we take our children to the so called Living Classroom - by Pier 98 and fifty feet away from the decommissioned Hunters Point Naval Shipyard? The areas come under the SF Port Authority. Why has the Precautionary Principle failed on this project with NO consideration what so ever - about the Moral Conscience?
For years over 6000 tons of particulates and other toxic elements fell in and around this site. The land at PIER 98 fell into disrepair was filled in with the worst type of in fill - tires, paint, chrome waste, radiological waste from the dredging done by the Corps of Engineers, and so on. Where are the Environmentalists on this one? Where are San Franciscans on this one?
In the year 2011 - we take our children to Heron's Head Park and expose our children to contaminants. We do this with INTENT, that is the SF Unified School District and other mundane schools - where is the Moral Conscience? Is this a Living Classroom exposing our children so that they become the Living Dead?
In the Southeast Sector - Gentrification has been alive for the longest time ever.
Today, even as you listen to the words of Dr Martin Luther King - contemplate and think deep and reflect and ponder - if the discrimination meted out to the Negroes then - is not meted out to the Blacks today - and with even greater force and in sordid manner?
Where is the fortitude in our Black leaders? What is the current NAACP located in San Francisco doing about the injustice? This is 2011!

Now, that you have heard the words. Do you feel ashamed after all these years - most of you just talk the talk, pay lip service - and few walk the walk.
In the Southeast Sector today we have over 45% unemployment.
Since the 1980 we have been plagued with Crack Cocaine. We have been plagued with diseases that kill - some respiratory and others linked to cancer.
Where is the leadership from the over 75 churches in the Bayview? The pastors and other scream, shout, dance and sing. But where are the deeds?
In the last 10 years - about 2000 young Black men have been shot and killed. Where is the justice and is there a force that permits this killing to go on - unchecked?
Who backs the Big Developers to come into our community and propagate - Gentrification. Who gives them this permission?
Our children are lost - many of them children with no father - raised by single mothers - who produce children to play a game with the Welfare System - that keeps you down, demoralizes one, and gives you NO opportunity to get out and free yourself from the condemned Welfare System.
Black on Blacks violence begs everyone and mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, relatives, friends and others - ask why this Black on Black violence?
Why are so many of our sisters and brothers incarcerated? What would Dr Martin Luther King say about this situation? Who of you has visited San Quentin recently? Who has visited Chowchilla recently? Who of you reading this has an answer or are you running away from the situation at hand the reality that bugs your conscience. Or sure it is none of your business? That is not what Dr Martin Luther King Jr. said - but if you pay lip service - feel ashamed or yourself and do something - positive.
The City and County of San Francisco with a $6.8 BILLION budget - spends money on everything else - but not on Quality of Life issues - why?
Where is the leadership among the constituents - now they want to redraw the district lines - and hopefully they will do a good job.
However, the constituents have not been contacted and less informed. Meetings will be held by the so called movers and shakers - and once again the affected constituents - will be shafted.
Dr Martin Luther King would have been 82 years if he were alive today.
If he were alive today he would say - today, things are worse off then they were - when he was alive. He would have something to say about the Blacks who proffered from the Civil Rights Movement - and then turned their backs on their fellow sisters and brothers. Why?
