Free screening of one of the past three years' most provocative films challenging the monopolization of the means of production of wealth. THE END OF POVERTY? is Cinema Libre's boldest work, and confronts the commonplace assertion and the ubiquitous assumption that poverty is an inevitable aspect of human social structures.
The belief that Capitalism in its American/European/Chinese variations is the triumphant model of world economies is not only savaged in this film, but a set of alternatives are proposed (gone over lightly). Assistant to the Producer will be on hand to field questions.
Nibbles, noshes and notable potables on hand.
Film at 5:30; runs two hours
