Al Jazeera on KPFA at 6 a.m., Democracy Now moved to 7 a.m.
A milestone in broadcasting history is now occurring at KPFA: Al Jazeera is now at 6 a.m. on weekdays and Democracy Now has finally been moved to 7 a.m. Al Jazeera is still blocked from US cable TV, so this is a tremendous breakthrough. Having Democracy Now at the good fundraising drive time of 7 a.m. will certainly help KPFA's dire finances. Pacifica Director Arlene Englehardt should be congratulated for her good work.
