The idea to build thousands of homes on land prone to liquefaction in SF - blantant GREED
Ross Mirkarimi opened his mouth and spoke about the Association of Bay Area Governments and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission - projecting, building thousands of homes and housing units in San Francisco. Where do these dumb IDIOTS get this idea from? Who is really doing an analysis of our present Economy? Where will these homes mostly be built? Where is the infrastructure to sustain thousands of people? How dumb are our so called Representatives - those on the SF Board of Supervisors, believing in such drab notions? Do not quite such entities if you do not know what you are talking about.
Sophie Maxwell the most inept Supervisors ever to step into City Hall is leaving office - they say the woman is being termed out. She should have been removed a long time ago - for being inept, corrupt and most of all for NOT having the ability to represent.
The District 10 elections have brought a candidate to the fore who keeps saying that she will represent and as much as anyone can use cliches, points to saying things "rosy" - and believe I like looking at a glass - half full rather then half empty - the reality facing District 10 are enormous.
The Wade Randlett fund raising makes interesting reading. When it suits some - birds of a feather flock together. I for one will never trust Gavin Newsom or have anything to do with him. It starts with tainted money, and then one thing leads to another.
In D10 we recently had a couple of high profile crimes - people died. Crimes are on the increase - and D10 is big, the largest of all the Districts.
You have Potrero Hill, Dog Patch, Bayview Hunters Point, Little Hollywood, Executive Park, Visitation Valley, Sunnydale Public Housing, Hunterview Public Housing, Oakdale Public Housing, parts of Portola from Bacon all the way to the famous Seven Eleven and from San Bruno at Bacon going towards Mission.
Few know the boundaries and less the many unique places. The demographics have changed drastically with Asians and Latinos gaining ground. Blacks leaving in droves.
Not even the D10 candidates were fully aware - that from Silver to Bacon on San Bruno - now comes under District 9 and that comes under Supervisor David Campos.
David Campos should answer - how best he represents District 9 at least that part of District 9 where we have a thriving business on San Bruno Avenue and thousands of home owners that pay taxes are in D9 - and get no respect.
Sophie Maxwell did a poor job of representing the Portola District that portion that comes under D10. You would see her at the Portola Fair all of which was held in D9 - and the fools who organized the Portola Fair - have no clue that the District Lines are changed - but leave that to the future fools to figure out.
The discussion here is about building thousands of homes - as many as 100,000 plus in San Francisco because the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and the Association of Bay Area Governments says so. Well, these two bodies better get their heads examined.
Most of the planned homes are in the Southeast Sector - hence, this article.
Large tracts of land at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard are not cleaned - some, may comprehend the words abated and mitigated - but most do not know.
The land is prone to liquefaction and flooding - while BCDC a body of some sane individuals comprehends this issue - ABAG and MTC keep spewing diatribe that some politicians are quick to quote - having no idea what so ever - that such talk is mundane but what is more pertinent - confusing and sends mixed signals.
The last frontier where most of the land is lies in the Southeast Sector. Most of the land needs a lot of work and just a very small area - needs minimal.
The area around Executive Park could be planned in such a manner to create a community of its own - complete with all the facilities and unique transportation grid that the Nation could marvel. In Canada they have some good examples - but, trying to persuade our SF Planning coming with some sound ideas - with permits taking years to get - while this economy erodes any good will to build sound mix-use housing.
Do not leave this to the drab local representatives and here I am referring to the politicians that have no idea of planning. Less of infrastructure and even less of Quality of Life issues.
At Hunters Point for example one Rogue Developer, has plowed millions to build inferior infrastructure. The Infrastructure is contaminated. Daily reports that I get - reveal to me and a few others that are on the list - sent by Treadwell and Rollo - the daily amount of Asbestos Structures that still hover around a wide area.
For months the infrastructure, built to cater to clean water and sewer have been left open to toxic dust, contaminated air, and rain and other toxic material entering the system. Eventually, the plan is to hook this system to some system - that the FOOLS at San Francisco Public Utilities Commission - keep mentioning - without have the slightest idea about what they are talking about.
Other fools are talking about building 10,500 homes in this freaking economy.
Well, anyone can talk about building homes in this economy that is sinking daily.
The Federal Reserve Bank keeps printing money to pay China daily in the billions - no one really knows how much.
I know for sure the Federal Reserve Bank that has nothing much to do with the United States Federal Government, is an entity to itself - does as it pleases and is fully responsible for our TRILLIONS of dollar plus - deficit. These guys that operate the Federal Reserve Bank are worse then the MAFIA.
Some can pooh, pooh this idea away - but, those that really know the situation at hand - do not think of building homes on land prone to liquefaction, more, prone to radiological contamination. Most importantly, as I have said for a long, long time - landfill where the remains of the Ohlone were spread by the United States Navy and I have made this known to the Project Manager Keith Forman from the U.S. Navy and the man in charge in San Diego, his boss - Douglas Gilkey.

Of course Lennar figures in this equation. Lennar has no money to expand on any large project - we saw this at Mare Island. Lennar promised to build 10,000 homes there and after 10 years had nothing to show and declared BANKRUPTCY.
