A reading organized by Frank Graham
and Poets Against War, sponsored by
the local chapter of Peace Action,
Sacramento Area Peace Action. Some
of the best published Northern
California poets will read their poems
and the work of other social justice
poets.
The war in Afghanistan has raged on
for more than 9 years and the promise
of ending war in Iraq is shallow - with
more than 50,000 troops in Iraq still
prepared for combat in any given
scenario.
This reading highlights the tragic
legacy of war. Please come, be a part
of this special evening and help stop
all wars. Refreshments and book
signings by authors proceed and follow.
Poets reading include:
Francisco Alarcon
James DenBoer
Frances Kakugawa
Susan Kelly-deWitt
