Could Socialism Work?

Meeting

Location Details:
San Francisco State University (1600 Holloway)
Room BUS107

People are losing their homes, jobs are hard to find, racism is on the rise, the wars don’t stop, the environment is under attack. Capitalism isn’t working, and it promises a future of austerity - the rich intend to restore their profits through cutbacks to our public services, our standard of living, our social safety net.

Socialists point to a common cause of these problems - a system that puts the profits of the few above the needs of the many. Socialists believe that we must fight for a world in which we collectively and democratically decide how to use society's resources to meet human needs.

But would a socialist system be any better? How would decisions be made? How could we get to a socialist society? What about human nature? Join us for a meeting that addresses these questions.
