I too feel like shit after a day of trying to answer all the disinformation of Aaron Glantz, Randy Shaw and others.

There is something so incredibly sad about leafleting at another event and eventually realizing that Suzi Goldmacher, who is telling her friend there about her mindfullness workshop, is handing out information she knows very well is complete B.S. I want to like her. I want not to be thinking "wow, these high-paid attorneys and *journalists* are lying through their teeth." I interviewed Norman Soloman myself when I was young. He has done such wonderful work. (and I'm not sure he's one of the liars here -- I was told he was going to spew at Petaluma, and he didn't but he does support these other slimy dirt-smearers, and is it at ANY cost? .) Aaron Glantz' work with soldiers is beyond valuable. (I mean it IS priceless.) But he and his cohorts decided it's worth it to engage in this excrement dissemination -- why? So the group they belong to or represent, the so-called Wellstone Democrats can take over the gate-keeping at KPFA in total? Even if the Wellstone club were NOT beholden to the Dems Centrale at some point, is it proper to have this resource completely run by one group -- EVEN IF IT WERE AS PROGRESSIVE AS PAUL WELLSTONE? I am grossed out and sad by this. Yuk yuk yuk!

Is the answer to put your head in the sand and let those who have enough money to send multiple mailers with false accusations "win?" PLEASE try to find out some stuff. Just take a few hours and read up. Here's a good start: http://www.robbie.org. It's respectful, even of the mudslingers.

September 30 midnight the ballots have to be IN to KPFA, and election committee members will be at 1929 Martin Luther King Jr (just around the corner from University Ave) til midnight. (no, you can't vote twice -- EVERY ballot sent is tracked, voided if necessary, if discarded etc., in answer to the next bunk expected here...)
