A group of so-called "national experts" on Social Security and other things that need "reform" is coming to San Jose this Friday the 24th.
The Raging Grannies will be outside the event demonstrating against cuts to Social Security. Join us!

DATE and Time: Friday, September 24 NOON to 1:30.
Join us for protest starting at ***11:45am*** or get a free ticket by ordering ahead, go inside and hit them up with hard questions!

Details: You can get a FREE ticket that includes a free
box lunch by emailing chovde [at] concordcoalition.org at the right wing Concord Coalition.
The San Jose Mercury is (for shame) co-sponsoring this event!

The discussion is supposed to be about "various illustrative options for putting the country on a more prudent and sustainable fiscal path in the next decade and beyond". These options include Social Security reforms, which we know means CUTS to benefits.

More details about a very similar event (some of the same sponsoring organizations and many of the same speakers) is in link below. It will be in SF on the 23rd and protesters including Gray Panthers will be in SF. Go to SF to protest if that works better for you but we hope you will support the Grannies by joining us in San Jose this Friday!
