Rep. Barbara Lee, of California’s 9th Congressional District in the East Bay, will talk on war and peace, the war power, and her anti-war actions in Congress. She will also answer questions. She was the only member of Congress who voted against the 2001 resolution that paved the way for the Afghan war.
Co-sponsored by the BFUU Social Justice Ctee , East Bay Branch of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, Ecumenical Peace Institute, Grandmothers Against the War, Gray Panthers, and War and law League (WALL, which meets following the talk) Admission free.
