Robert Fisk is intrepid, witty, courageous -- and one of the most famous journalists in the world. He is the winner of countless awards and three honorary doctorates. Beirut-based, Fisk has reported from the Middle East for over 30 years, covering 11 major wars.
Fisk will be speaking on "Lies, Misreporting, and Catastrophe in the Middle East," and he will be interviewed by Dr. Hatem Bazian -- scholar, activist, and UC Berkeley senior lecturer in departments of Near Eastern and Ethnic Studies
The event is a benefit for children in Palestine and Lebanon, is wheelchair accessible, and ASL interpreted. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
