This Open Copwatch has been organized by Iraq Veterans Against the War members and Bay Area-wide Copwatchers. We will begin with an overview and a "Know Your Rights" training for Copwatching. We will meet at the Mission and 16th Street Bart Station near the Food Not Bombs serving so arrive a little early if you want free dinner!

Please, join us for this Open Copwatch shift. Since the Oscar Grant rebellion of July 8th, the police have murdered some one new every week in the Bay Area like a slap in our face. One night of resistance is not enough. We must continue to organize against the racist pigs and have the backs of our local communities targeted by police violence. Copwatching is one way we can document and de-escalate people's encounters with the police as well as build trust and relationships with the community.

Meet up at:

The 16th Street Bart Station @ 8:30 PM Thursday, August 19th.
