calling all artists power to the peaceful

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
BE A PART OF THE POWER TO THE PEACEFUL FESTIVAL!
The Growing Connections Mural Team will be curating multiple exhibitions of the work of Bay Area artists for the 12th Annual Power to the Peaceful Festival, three days of music, art and action, September 10th -12th.
We are looking for artwork involving any or all of the themes of social justice, peace, community and sustainability. There are opportunities to have artwork displayed in an open-air art exhibition at the festival in Golden Gate Park, and at evening events at the Fillmore. The artists selected to have their art displayed at the festival will have the option of keeping all of the profit from sales, or donating a percentage to the cause. Power to the Peaceful is requesting that artwork shown at the Fillmore be donated for a silent auction, with proceeds going towards covering the costs of event production.
The Growing Connections Mural Team will be heading up a live, community mural at the festival September 11th. The mural will be dedicated to food justice and community empowerment. We would love to involve youth arts programs and any artists or organizations interested in participating.
Artists featured at the festival exhibition will receive acknowledgement on the Power to the Peaceful website (http://www.powertothepeaceful.org)
