UTD discusses environmental destruction, the BP wild well and the toxic gases emitted featuring two-time federal whistleblower on human experimentation

ARCATA, Cali. -- Our local television program, Unstacking the Deck (http://www.unstackingthedeck.com), hosted by Jason Robo and Kyle Beattie, has recently produced an episode on environmental destruction in the wake of the BP catastrophe. Their guest Mark Serati is a two-time whistleblower on the experimentation of factory workers contracted by the military. Some of the toxic gases they were exposed to have been emitted at alarming levels from the BP wild well.

"It's like letting a murderer clean up the murder scene" is how Robo described the Federal response to the BP calamity.

"The Department of Justice is the problem in this country because they don't enforce the laws" Serati believes. "If our law enforcement agencies are going to support the criminals then what is the point?"

On April 20, 2010 the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion resulted in the largest oil spill in history after drilling to record depths in the Gulf of Mexico. The catastrophe has devastated marine life and the gaseous fumes are highly volatile to life on land as well. The toxic dispersant, Corexit, is also discussed.

This type of disaster is a perpetual risk with the dependence we have on fossil fuels. Robo and Beattie discuss solutions that make these systems obsolete by instituting accountability in conjunction with evolving to independent energy, media and educational resources. Technology has been suppressed in order to sustain an industrial stranglehold on humanity and the next episode of UTD will discuss energy systems.

"You need an alert, awakened and an informed public in order to have any type of semblance of a free society," Beattie concludes. Trying to achieve such a society, he explains, is the goal of UTD, which exists to "give people an outlet to learn some of this stuff they won't hear about."

UTD airs regularly on Access Humboldt channel 12, the schedule is available online at http://accesshumboldt.net/site/ch12. UTD can be viewed online at the new official website, unstackingthedeck.com, with complete content sourcing, a free online version of the featured documentary and more.
