The Army was shooting pigs to test bullets at the Letterman Army Institute of Research here at the Presidio, before the military dispersed to other bases when the Presidio was privatized into the presently evolving Ft. Mason. The Institute was razed, so check for the ghosts of thousands of animals that suffered there somewhere around the new Lucas spread. The Army conducted all sorts of experiments on thousands of all sorts of animals there. For years the Vigil for Animals protested these experiments; we like to think we had some impact. However, there were many such labs run by the military all over the place and still are. Big daddy one at Ft. Dietrich, MD.

Humans are the most evil species on the face of the earth. Is it because we communicate with words and can lie?
