Save KPFA - Lying in Public
The Concerned Listeners, having renamed themselves Save KPFA, are lying to the public. Deceptive advertising on the web claims their 8-6 Humanist Hall concert with Vukani Mawethu benefits KPFA. It doesn't. Are there no consequences for trying to dupe people? They should be ashamed.
Text on Humanist Hall calender of events:
"Come save KPFA and have a great time doing it! This is KPFA’s benefit concert to help KPFA survive the rest of the year".
http://humanisthall.net/wp/2010/08/05/save-kpfa-benefit-concert/
This is a flat-out lie. This is a benefit to pay for a slate-mailer postcard for the Concerned Listeners to get themselves elected to KPFA's board.
According to the performers, no funds will be given directly to KPFA.
