Poetry/Song called "Our Father from Above."

by Marlon Crump, POOR Magazine
This is a poem anticipated song written by my neighbor, Donald C. Sargent. It is dedicated to the Most High, Almighty God, the Heavenly Father and Eternal Creator. I had the pleasure of reviewing "Our Father from Above" as not enough recognition and goes to the Lord as it should.
OUR FATHER FROM ABOVE

By Marlon Crump
(Song written by Donald C. Sargent)

In all cultures, locally and globally, we traditionally honor our loved ones in many different forms, on certain time periods. Through heart embrace, taking walks where silence isn't resisted, and a family gathering of festivities. Truth be told, honoring our loved ones ALL the time is usually, eternally expected.

Though both Mother’s and Father’s Day are celebrated once a year, sometimes these days are taken for granted or even celebrated. While many of us honor our parents for giving us the precious gift of life, there are those who do not. Often the latter is due to the lack of love, abuse and/or the attention they never received.

Father’s Day for me personally, is not just in honor of my own (late) father, but to the Heavenly Father, himself. Down below, we human beings receive rewards and praise all the time, in many forms. The question from me is how much does the Heavenly Father receive from us above?

With the relentless struggles of my own family, my family and companeros of POOR Magazine/PNN; giving gratitude to our ancestors and God who made it possible for our survival to even struggle is a crucial covenant we all should keep.

A fellow neighbor of mine by the name of Donald C. Sargent approached me recently with a song poised for a poetic theme he’d written, titled “Our Father From Above” God to share with the world:

Our Father from Above, you do it all

You can do everything from above

And you give us everything from your heart

From above we got love

Chorus

From above, from above he will do anything for our love

From above, from above, from above

From above, Our Father will do anything for our love

From above, from above, from above

From above, from above, he, our father will do everything

Everything from above

End Chorus

From above we got love in our heart

Cause you give us everything from your love

But we must have faith

Then you have everything and his grace

From our father from above

Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
