People vs. Mentch / Eldridge Medical Marijuana Trial set for Sept. 29th 2010 San Jose

NEW EVIDENCE has surfaced. Roger Mentch and Laurie Eldridge were arrested Feb 13th 2009. Roger overseen operations at The Hemporium, a small collective located in the Felton Redwoods near Santa Cruz. This was Roger's 3rd arrest after a undercover Highway patrolman obtained a valid but fraudulent Doctors recommendation for medical cannabis and set up an appointment with the Hemporium. After validating the recommendation Mentch and disable patient/girlfriend were arrested and taken to San Jose and incarcerated at Elmwood for 6 months, 5 without bail. Laurie was release on bail a week later. I am charged with 3 sales, 3 transportation and 3 cultivation, Laurie with 2 charges.

New incriminating evidence regarding the raid brings up constitutional issues, including search and seizure. More research of the violations by the Santa Clara County Special Enforcement Team and the Santa Cruz County Sheriffs Marijuana Enforcement Team have been initiated.

Roger has a SORP hearing (supervised OR) on July 21st at 1:30pm courtroom 24 in front of Honorable Judge Penny Packer. We will argue hardship and request OR.
