AK Press and the Institute for Anarchist Studies presents:

Sledge Hammer Visions:
Seth Tobocman and Eric Drooker

$3-5 donation, but no one turned away for lack of funds

Radical comic book artists Seth Tobocman and Eric Drooker will offer a multimedia presentation of their works, employing music, spoken word, slides, and PowerPoint, to illuminate their vision of the struggle for land and liberty at the beginning of the twenty-first century. AK Press will also be selling books during this event.

Both Tobocman and Drooker started out self-publishing their work as posters and flyers hung on the walls of New York's Lower East Side and in the radical comic book World War 3 Illustrated. They have gone on to publish a number of their own books, including:

Seth Tobocman: Understanding the Crash (Soft Skull Press), You Don't Have to Fuck People over to Survive (AK Press), and Disaster and Resistance (AK Press)

Eric Drooker: Flood, Blood Song, and Illuminated Manuscripts (with Allen Ginsberg)
