Mexico 2010, towards the COP16! Regional Climate Convergences Call-out!
The social and climate crisis which we are experiencing is a new challenge for humanity. The solutions that are based on principles of justice and freedom for all peoples require the maximum creativity of that we are capable of, resulting in actions of solidarity, and the use of new and existing technology with different motives than those that are used to drive the consumer market; as well as all those utopias that we use to tread our paths.
So far many of the reductionist solutions seek to address the climate crisis as an economic issue or an environmental issue without realizing that this crisis requires us to review all of what essentially are.
One aspect of this crisis is that there is a lack of spaces for dialogue and relfection- space where action is the natural result of coexisting with the other and listening.

One aspect of this crisis is that there is a lack of spaces for dialogue and relfection- space where action is the natural result of coexisting with the other and listening.
Considering that there is no future if we do not walk united with one another- and that the Dialogue and Climate Convention Peoples must be a permanent and collective process, we make this call-out to announce the Regional Climate Convergences, from which we will reflect on these environmental issues, share knowledge, and learn practical tools to address the problems we face.
We invite you to propose and organize additional climate camps/convergences in your region or city! Or support us in the organization and coordination of the convergence/climate camps we have already underway. The convergences already proposed are for the northern region based in Sonora in the month of October, for the central region in Puebla is planned for August / September, and the southern region in Chiapas, dates to be determined.
The aim of these convergence is to generate spaces from which to address environmental and social problems from different perspectives. Additionally, practical actions through the generation of workshops that will lead to real solutions to real problems-both in rural areas and in areas urban- discussing scientific aspects of environmental issues, to philosophical issues. Promoting a dialogue between civil society on crucial issues to understand the policies that move through the formal process of the United Nations, and the evaluation of processes from social movements to develop other actions outside the institutional protocol.
