The immigration reform plan favored by Obama would produce more raids, detentions, mass firings, and deportations, more border militarization, a national ID card for both citizens and immigrants, an unworkable legalization procedure, and an expansion of guest workers who would work in serf-like conditions. Bay Area immigrant advocates have a much better idea.
