Socialist Worker Coffee House Discussion
What's next in the fight against Arizona's racist, anti-immigrant law?
At the end of April, Arizona passed SB 1070, a law that would compel Arizona police officers to verify the citizenship of anyone who "looks like" they might be an undocumented immigrant. But the law's passage, with its mandate to racially profile and harass immigrants, has prompted a storm of outrage and protest. On May Day, hundreds of thousands of people across the country marched against the racist law—and a movement to boycott Arizona until SB 1070 is reversed is quickly gathering steam.
Join the San Francisco Mission branches of the International Socialist Organization in a discussion of the fight against SB 1070. This discussion will be based upon coverage in the latest edition of Socialist Worker, including the following articles:
Anger builds over Arizona law
New challenges for our movement
