San Francisco makes one more faint attempt to keep HOPE alive at Hunters Point Shipyard.
San Francisco's Mayor's Office of Economic Development makes one more faint attempt to keep HOPE alive at Hunters Point Shipyard and Candlestick Point. The sell outs were brought in numbers - fed and paid to make some drab statements. Mostly, the same refrain that has been heard before. " We want jobs". " We want housing". Well, that remains to be seen. Lennar has been know to look you in the EYE and LIE. The area is polluted and still under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Navy. We demand that the Navy clean the area to residential standards.
The San Francisco Planning Department is going through some very trouble times. The turn over in that Department is deplorable.
Now, we find out that the Zoning Czar and some others have been watching PORN while at work. These same goof balls have been favoring the Lennar plan - and have not paid attention to the Draft, Environmental Impact Report - linked to Hunters Point Shipyard and Candlestick Point.
Now, we have to come before the dubious Planning Department in the company of the SF Planning Commission and listen to a presentation - by yet another dubious entity the SF Mayor's Office of Economic Development and Workforce - that is just pushing an envelop.
What is worse the Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) that few have read and still fewer have attended the DDA meetings linked to Parcel A has been amended so many times - to avoid a default on the time lines that can bring about that result.
A number of things have happened the DDA has been amended so many times the first time around to get rid of rental units that were promised to the community. People in the community are fed up with Lennar - but, Lennar keeps making promises and each time it promises you the world - it fails to deliver.
The DDA to Parcel A is a JOKE - and with it comes the many times LENNAR has changed its corporate name - from a couple of Limited Liability Corporations to a Limited Liability Partnership. The same snake different heads.
The City has now embarked upon producing glossy presentation full of LIES and made dubious statements - meant to divert one attention and foster these lies. If these folks that give the presentation were sworn and took the OATH - more then sixty percent of the presentation would be null and void.
The lie that Hunters Point Shipyard is a Brownfield as opposed to being a Superfund Site - has been repeated so many times - that now these folks just say it, as if it was the truth - because they feel - that you have to believe what they say. The audacity these folks have to think that they can control us by faking and spewing hot air!
It is such arrogance that will bring down this City and County of San Francisco. We know what happened at Mare Island. Lennar promised to build 10,000 homes and Vallejo the City was waiting for all the tax increment. After ten years Lennar declared bankruptcy and Vallejo is now a mess - having declared bankruptcy itself.
The sins of the past will come to haunt us in San Francisco. The common denominator is Willie L. Brown that brought this dubious, evil, diabolic entity to develop the last frontier. " No good will ever come at Hunters Point Shipyard".
Lennar thinks it can fool us, the constituents of San Francisco, but we know that Lennar is stumbling, falling, and is now drowning in the cesspool of its own creation.
Thousands of suits have been filed against Lennar. The common thread - Lennar is a Rogue Developer that promises you the world and gives you - crap. And when you fight for your rights - tries to intimate you. That will NOT happen in San Francisco.
Lennar is pathetic and here in San Francisco when some of us stood solo against LENNAR - you would hear the refrain - that Lennar is a large corporation and that is was useless taking on this scumbag corporation. Now, people think and feel different and we have thousands of folks that want Lennar out of San Francisco.
Lick your chops Kofi Bonner and all those that think you can fool us - but remember that no one can fool all the people - all the time. And remember he laughs best who laughs last.
Well, the righteous are not intimidated by the devil and those entities that have no ethics, less morals, and are dubious in nature.
The ploys and machinations of Lennar and those sell outs mostly Black the likes of Aurelious Walker ( who still spews lies and hot air), Lola Whittle ( who will do anything for the City to give her money and favors), others like Willie B. Kennedy, Veronica Hunnicutt ( who is a pain in the ass every where she goes ), others like Sophie Maxwell and we can go on - but suffice to say - their days are numbered - each and every one of them.
Other who act like fools supporting Lennar - are now getting stale bread crumbs. The well is dry - but these fools still want to play with fire and make their bed with the devil.
The presentation before the SF Planning Department and Chair Ron Miguel was one of those that the SF Planning Commission promised the community - and held at 11:30 am and went on until pass 3:30 pm. It was long and dry. As I said sixty percent of more of the content - LIES.
This item on the agenda did not require any action - but, as usual it was interesting to see the lairs such as Tiffany Bohee sit down quiet and listen for once. Michael Cohen continues to defend the SF City and County position - but, those in the know - know well, at Hunters Point Shipyard - the days of Lennar are numbered.
Lennar's initial plan was Land Banking as I reported many years ago. Lennar cannot sell anything that is built on land that is replete with Radiological Contaminants.
Who would like to buy a home and not be able to touch the dirt in one's backyard? Who would venture outside to the beach near by or the land near the bay - and told to stay away because of radiological and other very dangerous contaminants - that could adversely impact all life.
The Precautionary Principle stares this City and County of San Francisco in the FACE and this City is playing with fire. The City and County of San Francisco will FAIL at Hunters Point Shipyard.
The folks from Alice Griffith are now being told that they will be given new homes. Lennar will LIE as I have said - and it is a pity to see ignorant folks - swallow the tablets just because they do not know better. The refrain of these ignorant folks is so pathetic - it makes you puke. they are not educated on issues.
Many of them have just joined the bandwagon not because they are educated on issues but because they are told lies and some of them are pathetic to say the least. They are simply making a fool of themselves - each and every time - we hear the same refrain. None of them have read the Final Historical Radiological Assessment Report. None of them have read the Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) to Parcel A. Fewer have not read nor care to read the Draft, EIR to the Hunters Point Shipyard and Candlestick Point.
Behind the scenes Dwayne Jones and Angelo King - these two must think hard. These folks when they come to know they have been taken for a ride - will set their eyes on Angelo King and Dwayne Jones and the many others that are ignorant on issues. Please do not lead innocent and mostly poor folks astray.
Why would you want to live in an area that is known to harm you and that has caused so may still births at Alice Griffith?

Right now the area is so polluted that the folks that live at Alice Griffith - if the City was a good partner - would have removed them to a better place.
Alice Griffith is housing built by the military as interim housing. The Housing Authority has exploited the people and the people that live in horrible conditions know it. But, now they think Lennar will give them HOPE when all over this Nation - LENNAR is known as a Rogue Developer. Lennar is a LIAR.
