Rovner’s work is in 30 permanent collections worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Rovner has had over 50 solo exhibitions including Against Order? Against Disorder?, the acclaimed exhibition featured at the Israeli Pavilion during the 50th International Art Exhibition at the Venice Biennale (2003); and Michal Rovner: The Space Between, a 2002 mid-career retrospective at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.

The Roselyne C. Swig Distinguished Lecture Series has been made possible by the support of the Board of Trustees of the Contemporary Jewish Museum. This first lecture is also supported by the Consulate General of Israel to the Pacific Northwest.
