Lecture Series And Mansion Tours On “The Haunting Of Mission Santa Cruz, Mexico 1708-1876"

by J. Elizabeth Lonergan & A. Guerisoli (jelonerg [at] gmail.com)
The books on the real history behind the murder of the Castros in Santa Cruz will be sold as part of a Lecture Series and Mansion Tours at the Bay View Hotel, a Mexican-Spanish 14-bedroom Hotel. This mansion was a part of the Magnolia Rose Hotel that was built when Capitola was the Capital of Mexico (1833). It was lost in the “land grab” of the San Andres Land Grant and moved from the Capitola Esplanade to Aptos Village, with the last move around 1907 being the year of the main forgery of a fire.

The lectures will deal with the real history of Santa Cruz when it was Mexico, the murder of the Castros, and the dismembering of the Mexican-Mansions and destruction of real history through the systematic forgeries (rapes, disappearances, and murders) by A.F. Heinz aka Reverend Sasowallo, “SheWell” of John William Peyton and John Sloane (“Johann-son”) Civil-War “colonizers” who became the famous “Williamson’s” who lynched the Governor J. Joe Castro II in 1876. This family would become the Bush, Becketel, Jones, Heath, Huggins, Porter, and Wells (“Shewells”) and Brey-fogle families from Santa Cruz forming the Bank name: “Wells-fogle”. The dismembering of the Magnolia Rose into 5 pieces and repositioned to create "the city of Santa Cruz" has created a series of haunting.

If interested in the lecture series, books and mansion tours send an email to jelonerg [at] gmail.com and a registration date will be sent when a minimum enrollment is reached. The 6-week running class will be $75.00, including the books, the food, and the talks and tours.

Unfortunately, this story is pure fiction. Joe Castro was not the last Mexican governor of California, Pio Pico was. Capitola was never the capitol of California, it wasn't founded until 1876 and was named for a character in a novel. The name of the famous bank is Wells Fargo, not Wells Fogle. It was not founded by the people named in the list. It seems that this story was dreamed up by a high school student. I looked at the preview on Amazon and there were multiple inaccuracies on each page. I may buy it just for the fun in finding the mistakes and seeing how few "facts" in this book are really true. So far it looks like about the only one is that there is a place called California!

This is a shame, because chronicling the true history of Santa Cruz and the region is so important. I hope this at least encourages us to look up our local history.

Yes, it's fiction

The first interview suggests that this book might be an April Fool's joke. I sure hope so.

This joke isn't funny. The living relatives of some of the actual, existing people written about should take legal action against the authors of this book. Pure bullshit with a dash of libel and slander.
