Portland Road Bloc Against Police Murder, April 8th
on the evening of april 8th, 2010, portlanders respond to a west coast call out against police brutality, creating a temporary autonomous zone, free of police, while calling for justice for survivors and victims of the power of the police.
Today, fifty anarchists arrived at five p.m with the intention of taking and holding space at the intersection of James Chasse's death. At some point during the night, a creative and sneaky comrade had changed the street sign at the intersection to read "James Ave," a tribute to the lost community member who was killed at the hands of the Portland Police in 2006.
