BART Action Disrupts Trains with "No Justice, No Rush", San Francisco: Photos (2 of 2)
Twenty minutes in, the action has yet to evolve into its final form, a mass "yellow" action disrupting BART's business as usual.

First set of photos and a report on this action can be found at http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2010/04/11/18644367.php

If BART is in no hurry to hold Tony Pirone accountable -- despite community activists demanding his firing in January 2009 and Meyers Nave recommending his firing in August 2009 -- why should demonstrators hurry to accommodate BART?

As a sidenote, BART had the nerve to assign BART cop Emery Knudtson to patrol Montgomery station during the time of the demonstration. Knudtson was one of the officers present when Oscar Grant was murdered -- he did nothing to stop Tony Pirone from assaulting Oscar and his friends and nothing to assist Oscar as he bled on the platform. Knudtson was reinstated by BART in September 2009: http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2009/09/15/18622112.php. Demonstrators recognized him, though, and he was berated until he had to leave the station.

At least they didn't bring their rifles and tear gas this time (http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2009/03/20/18579534.php#18579537)

Arrestee was released about 11:30pm that night and all charges have since been dropped.
