Secretaries' Day - How do secretaries actually feel about this Hallmark holiday?

by KPFA Women's Magazine (kpfawomensmag [at] gmail.com)
Every April, U.S. corporate offices mark National Secretaries' Day, rebranded as Administrative Professionals Day or Week, but most people who don't work in that environment are not even aware of it. For clerical workers, 97% of whom are women, it's the one time of year when they feel like they're not invisible to their bosses. Kate Raphael and Rosemary Lenihan present humorous and poignant reflections on the work and the holiday, observed this year on April 21. First broadcast in April 2007. Audio, 19:39
