Sisters and brothers: 7 years since Shock and Awe -- 14 months since “Change you can believe in” - one outrage after another, what terrible direction do we see?
Obama’s expansion of the war is NOT saving the lives of the Afghan people. It’s killing them.
* American secret operations and unmanned drones -- in 5 countries -- are not only illegal, unjust and immoral, but an outrage against all of humanity.
* Obama refuses to let over 600 Bagram detainees be id’d, or have habeas rights, or lawyers to challenge their detention – all this puts the lie to his claim that “We Do Not Torture.”
* Now Obama defends Bush/Cheney’s torture lawyers and war crimes in the name of executive privilege… Now private contractors are running black ops outside the chain of command -- Now Obama claims the right to assassinate US citizens --
