Dynamic Equilibrium: Drawings, Paintings and Collages - opening reception

East and West Coast painters explore the energy of pictorial space. The instant of resolution in an artwork and its precipitous balance are represented in a varied display of visual forces. Color and black-and-white as color are engaged through different disciplines, density, scale, imagery and nuance. Each artist’s process suggests alternate and sometimes shifting views of the vital moment of cohesion.
