Al-KHalil (Hebron), Palestinians clashe with Israeli Occupation Forces over Israeli Decision to declare Tomb of the Patriarchs as a Jewish National site
On Thursday, February 27, Clashes erupted again between Palestinian youth and the Israeli Occupation Forces in Al-Khalil (Hebron), Palestine. This is the fourth day that Palestinians are uprising, over the Israeli government decision to include the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Al-Khalil to be part of a 150 Jewish national heritage that are to be renovate and protected.
This decision signifies to many (including the American government), the Israeli complete refusal to recognize the city of Al-Khalil as an occupied Palestinian area. Furthermore, the Al-khalil city has over the years been transformed and cleansed of its Palestinian residents due to Jewish settlers harassment and Israeli military months long curfews and enclosure of main streets. The Israeli Parliament decision is seen as yet another step to remove Palestinians from Hebron, in the name reclaiming historical Jewish sites.
