A bogus report "Out Migration" a slap on the face of BLACKS in SF - "Unfinished Agenda".

by Francisco Da Costa
Those that participated in the putting together of the " Out Migration " report should be ashamed of themselves. For sure they did not read the "Unfinished Agenda". These lackeys do not have the REAL pulse of Blacks in San Francisco - not, the BLACKS that are poor and deprived of opportunities and need - help. No where is " Gang Injunction" mentioned. Less "Community Policing", " Sound Education", and still less the pandering of some Blacks at the expense of society while selling out their community.

Perhaps the only worthwhile document prepared by some decent Blacks and others - evaluating the plight of BLACKS in San Francisco and the surrounding region - was the UNFINISHED AGENDA. Copies of this document are available at the Human Rights Commission.

This document has been sitting on the shelves - collecting dust.

While some of the Black Leaders have read this document, the Unfinished Agenda, none of them have had the guts to study it and tried to enforce the suggestions - to better the plight of the Blacks in San Francisco.

Blacks leaders have failed miserably to first comprehend, second unify, and thirdly execute with sound leadership. Good leaders know the way, show the way, and go the way. Many of them have no moral compass and lacking that are like reeds blowing any which way - drab, useless, looking for some little money - and pandering all the time. Pathetic.

When that document, the Unfinished Agenda was written already the about twenty five percent of Blacks in San Francisco were suffering. The many benefits that Blacks had fought for - were already being slowly neutralized by powerful forces - working with sell out Blacks many of whom are alive today.

The Human Rights Committee was first formed in the Bayview led by Blacks. Many of the changes linked to jobs, housing, education, health were led by some Black leaders who after attaining their goals - withered away - and others just sold out, took the money - and now live cozy lives - far away from San Francisco.

The Human Rights Commission today is a JOKE. There is absolutely no enforcement and the Human Rights Commission as it stands today - is not respected at all by decent folks.

Reading the Unfinished Agenda that has a lot of empirical data and more concrete suggestions to better the lives of Blacks. But, where is the Black leadership? Doris Ward, Willie L. Brown Jr., Amos Brown, Arnold Townsend, Toye Moses, Linda Richardson, Veronica Hunnicutt, Rev. Boyd, Calvin Jones, Aurelious Walker - one worse then the other.

At one time when that document came out there were more then twenty five percent Blacks in San Francisco but what do we have today. Today, less then five percent and decreasing. I hope the Census 2010 - does a fair job - and reveals the truth.

The title "Out Migration" brings back memories of Birds, taking flight from an area to fend for themselves anywhere and everywhere - where they can survive. Devious folks with a hidden agenda - gathered the usual BLACK suspects - with Sophie Maxwell lending her name but not having a clue - what this document would entail.

We still have Blacks that pander to folks like Mayor Gavin Newsom. Others that work with the former Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr. to protect his own interests while doing nothing, I repeat nothing for Blacks in San Francisco.

The NAACP under Amos Brown and Arnold Townsend has done nothing much - except pander to those that favor their own petty interests while lining their pockets.

Black Pastors in droves today have jumped on the bandwagon of Big Developers to rake in the thousands for themselves - while the sheep are scattered all over the place. Among them of course Amos Brown, Calvin Jones, Aurelious Walker, Rev. Boyd, and the list goes on and on.

Gang Injunctions were introduced without any Public Dialog. Blacks Pastors were silent and are still silent. In fact some Black Pastors were put on the Gang Injunction List - and most other sell out Black Pastors - Poverty Pimp Pastors - to date have no clue what is happening.

Thousands of Blacks in Public Housing have been evicted and many thrown to the streets in the last ten years. HOPE SF is all about gentrification - giving opportunities to GREEDY DEVELOPERS to build - gated communities - with little or NO opportunities for BLACKS.

When is comes to health, safety, sound education, housing, health, career jobs, recreational facilities, Three Strikes, in general Quality of Life Issues - Blacks in San Francisco the majority that are poor - are treated like dirt and given no opportunities.

Today, we have a PLANTATION, here is San Francisco and you can witness the sell outs that gather on Black History Day at City Hall and conduct themselves in a pathetic manner.

A couple of years ago Juneteenth Celebration was moved from Fillmore Street in the Western Addition to the front of City Hall. There surrounded within barricades - the Blacks gathered - not fully grasping that the MASTA was looking from his window - and rejoicing that those within the barricade - were doing his bidding.

For over 400 years Blacks suffered - brought here from Africa and other places - and forced to worked as slaves. Every Black must remember that, then after much pondering - fathom the devious ploys and machinations of those that seek to exploit those that are no educated on issues.

When Blacks ventured from the South to come to San Francisco in the early 1940s they came for work and lived in despicable conditions. In tents and trailers and worked at the Shipyard at Hunters Point and others places mostly as servants. Only in the late 1950s - could Blacks move into homes and own homes. And mostly when this happened - the Whites found excuses to move away.

The incarceration of the Japanese gave many Black opportunities to live in better homes. Then came SF Redevelopment Agency - and gentrified and remove many Blacks and forced them to live in the Tenderloin and Hunters Point - some know this but cannot connect the dots. Others, ignorant as they are - just dream away.

In the 1960s and 1970s many were given opportunities and took it. Then after they made good, they turned their backs and left to live far away from San Francisco.

In the 1980s and 1990s - many Blacks sold their homes and fled miles away to places like Vallejo and Fairfield. Today, they want to come back - but cannot because of the dire economic straits. Many have been caught in the sub-prime debacles and other ploys and machinations.

We have many Black churches in San Francisco but the churches are empty - the elders try to put something together but they young are all scattered. There is no legacy left - and the few that want to unite the Blacks - are fighting and losing one battle at a time.

One has just to visit our jails and see so many Blacks - young women and men - being wasted. Many trapped by Society and led to these dump sites - with little or no rehabilitation. Once their parents had hopes - but crack, other drugs, dysfunctional families, lack of discipline, less spirituality took them on paths that took them closer to - death.

Marcus Garvey in the Western Addition is being torn apart by some Black sell outs. The only decent, self-empowered housing that some Blacks fought for and acquired. Ella Hutch is losing ground - with folks swindling and others trying to control money to line their pockets. All this in the Western Addition.

The Communities For Opportunity (COO) sounds nice under Dwayne Jones who does not live in San Francisco - but whatever he touches - breathes on - is devious. COO is dividing the people, making promises, using gentrification as a ploy - to make room for Big Developers.

Why would anyone want to build 10,500 homes in the middle to Chernobyl? Land prone to liquefaction and flooding? Land that has radiological contaminants? Land that has already inflicted cancer, still births and birth defects on many Blacks and others? Where is the Black, educated leadership on this one?

Black Consultants work for the Pacific Heights Mafia and will sell other Blacks and others for stale bread crumbs to make some little, fleeting money. It is so sad.

Go to City College and SF State College and you see very few Blacks that live in San Francisco - heading for higher education. The many Black Sisters from other parts of California and this Nation - are holding the Fort. Black History Month - is a reminder, the survival of the fittest - and only the brave, mostly Black women until now - have shown immense courage and fortitude.

At City Hall in San Francisco - Mayor Gavin Newsom is touting about the "Out Migration" document, HOPE SF, Gang Injunctions, Truancy, the Stimulus Plan, other fake plans - that are going no where. The City is over $800 million in the hole - and widening.

Over five thousand youth are listed as truants. Of this amount over sixty percent chronic. Our Juvenile System has failed our Black youth. Go visit the system and check out and see if what I say is the - truth.

Daily hundreds of Black youth crash - that is they find some place, anywhere to sleep - mostly in despicable conditions. All that in San Francisco - the City that knows - how.

The many Black pastors and leaders that gather for eggs and bacon and other such stuff at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast - make speeches. The usual suspects - there is fun fare and then there is a " dead silence ". Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is turning in his grave and would have spoken out against this FAKE document - " Out Migration". So, very pathetic:
