Tour to demonstrate how to conserve water
The Salmon Protection and Watershed Network and the Marin Municipal Water District will host a tour of rain garden and rainwater harvesting projects to demonstrate ways to conserve water, reduce flooding and erosion impacts on neighborhoods and protect local streams and wild salmon. The tour, free to MMWD customers, is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Registration opens at 9:30 am. Meet at the Sustainability Center at 141 Bolinas Road in Fairfax.
