Come to Laura's campaign kick-off tonight at La Estrellita restaurant in Oakland to hear Laura and other elected Greens discuss the upcoming California Governor's race.

YOU ARE INVITED!

Richmond Mayor Gayle McLaughlin, and two Fairfax Town Council members, Larry Bragman and Lew Tremaine, confirmed that they will be at the kickoff! And Oakland mayoral candidate Don Macleay and former longtime Oakland City Councilmember Wilson Riles will be there too!

They will all "say a few words" on how fixing the way money works in Sacramento affects their cities. Gayle McLaughlin will talk about Chevron and its effect on Richmond, and California.

WHAT: Kickoff Party for Laura Wells for Governor 2010
WHEN: Monday, February 1, 6:30 pm
WHERE: La Estrellita restaurant, 446 East 12th St, at 5th Ave, Oakland, about 8 blocks from Laney College and Lake Merritt BART.
WHY: Party! and kick off the campaign to FIX THE MONEY in California.
WHO: You, your family, and friends are invited!

We expect to roll out the first edition of a campaign card, "Prop 13 - Unlucky in 13 Ways". We will also include the good parts about Prop 13, keeping people in their homes - and even the "good parts" can be improved. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome.

Hope you can make it! RSVP - if you haven't already - is optional but nice: info [at] laurawells.org

Yours,
Laura
