Latest Issue: Online Newspaper Of The Tibet Post International

Every week, The Tibet Post International will be trying to publish as a weekly online newspaper in English. It will mainly focus on Tibet related issues, closely following the developments inside Tibet as well as reporting on the activities and working of exile democratic institutions. The weekly issue will be divided into two parts: news of the week and a feature story. This will include Tibet and exile news, editorials, world news, essays, fiction and non-fiction write-ups, personal thoughts, opinions and more. The Tibet Post International is the first independent weekly online news in English in the Tibetan community. The following topics will be covered in the Newspaper: 1. Articles and interviews on Tibetan issues, media status and Tibetan freedom of expression; 2. Response to Chinese press articles presenting a distorted version of Tibetan history, etc. 3. Comparative studies on the constitution of China, highlighting the contradiction between its promises and its actual application. 4. Reports to the international community on the state of the media's freedom in Tibet, including the arbitrary arrest and detention, and harassment of the Tibetan writers and journalist in Tibet. 5. Updates and publications of H. H. the Dalai Lama's latest public speeches in serialized form. 6. Latest developments in the Tibetan Government In-Exile and on International affairs. 7. Guest columns and letters to the editor. 8. Principles and theories on the freedom of expression. 9. Since the access of transmitting and receiving information is restricted in Tibet, TPI will be the voice for the Tibetan cause that is very much in need of individual and international support. So to garner that support, the first step will be to inform the global public of true and real information regarding Tibet and Tibetans.
