FEBRUARY 5 – 13, 2010
ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: HUNTER LONGE
Opening Reception: February 5th, 2010 5pm – 10pm
* with pizza in the Tenderloin National Forest
Gallery hours: 11am – 5pm
Hunter has physically altered the gallery space with a coherent confusion of video, drawing, and sculpture. This multi-practice suggests a simulacrum of time space contrasts, where disciplines leak through into each other’s boundaries. His interest in the mathematics of rationalization and progress as a syndrome has lead to this experimentation with architectonic and psychological transformations --the physical world as idea and the exhibition space as a metaphysical proposition.
