Italy - The Supreme Court confirmed the sentence Paolo Berlusconi
It upheld the sentence of 4 months and 15 days for false invoicing imposed on Paolo Berlusconi (brother of Prime Minister's note.) Court of Appeal of Milan in the process on the management of the landfill in Cerro Maggiore. Today, the Fourth Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court has in fact rejected the appeal presented by Paolo Berlusconi's lawyers against the sentence handed down by judges in Milan on 11 July 2008. According to the judges, between 1993 and 1995 Simec Berlusconi would issue false invoices for about 5 billion lire. It is the second time that the Supreme Court rules on the same story. Previously, judges of the Supreme Court had annulled a first ruling of the Court of Appeal of Milan who had prescribed the said crime in question.
