First March 20 Coalition Meeting - Stop the Expanding U.S. War!
All anti-war organizations and individuals welcome.

U.S. Out of Afghanistan and Iraq Now!
Free Palestine!
Money for health care, jobs and education!
U.S. Hands Off Latin America

Mass Marches and Rallies Planned in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco

Join us for the first meeting of the Bay Area March 20 Coalition. March 20 will mark the 7th anniversary of the criminal invasion and occupation of Iraq. The Obama administration and the Pentagon are escalating the wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and extending their aggression into Yemen and Somalia. The brutal Israeli colonial occupation of Palestine continues, fully backed by Washington. At the same time, U.S. intervention against the progressive governments in Latin America is intensifying.

While students in California are facing a 32% tuition hike (which will prevent hundreds of thousands of working class and poor students from going to college), and we are told that there is no money for true health care reform, the real Pentagon budget for next year will be over $1.4 trillion!
A year ago, millions of people celebrated the end of both the Bush administration and the 220-year streak of exclusively well-to-do white males allowed to occupy the highest office. But what the last year has reaffirmed is that a change of top officials alone cannot and will not bring the change we really need. That can only be accomplished by a powerful movement of the people.

Join us--now is the time to take action! At the Sat. Jan. 9 meeting we will be discussing how to get the largest possible number of people into the streets on March 20. We will also hear about plans for the statewide (and possibly national) student strike and day of action planned for March 4.

Following is a partial list of endorsers of the March 20 mass marches and rallies: ANSWER Coalition; Muslim American Society Freedom; National Council of Arab Americans; Cynthia McKinney; Malik Rahim, co-founder of Common Ground Collective; Ramsey Clark; Cindy Sheehan; Medea Benjamin, co-founder of CODEPINK; Debra Sweet, Director, World Can't Wait; Mike Ferner, President, Veterans for Peace; Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition; Heidi Boghosian, Executive Director, National Lawyers Guild; Ron Kovic, author of "Born on the 4th of July"; Juan Jose Gutierrez, Director, Latino Movement USA; Col. the book fair will be the weekend before
Obama may be the first black President but he's still a puppet of Wall St. and that part never changes about politics. Even if it were Hillary Clinton; a woman, things wouldn't change because both parties are dictated by a maga-machine; big oil, military industrial complex and no president is going to stick their neck out for us. If we want to be saved we have to save our selves. Nobody is going to do it for us. No President is going to end the war. WE HAVE HAVE TO END IT OUR SELVES!

Seems as if most liberals don't care what the President gets away with so long as it's a slick n crooked "democrat" rather than clumsy n crooked republican. I bet you most brainwashed liberal progressives won't even come out to this protest because in their minds; as long as the democrats are in power, we have a chance at the American dream, what ever that is??? Predictions that liberals might vote republican in 2012 due to Obama failing to commit to his campaign promises is all I been hearing about lately. There are liberals out there stupid enough to do that out of anger for democrats as if the republicans would do any better to improve their lives, please. Have you forgotten everything the republican philosophy stands for?, being the most greedy, corrupt, and pro-war suns of bitches you ever met with absolutely no shame or remorse for what they do? 2010 is here already and so far nothing has changed, no "change has come to this great America" except a change of skin color in the Whitehouse but he's workin for another man; the rich man, not you. Obama is just as much a puppet of the elite as his predecessor George W. Bush ever was and nobody seems to care to know that or point it out these days. People; the Obama Honeymoon is OVER and a year has gone by. What are you going to do? There for the urgency to be out in the streets as if Bush never left should be greater than this and what do I mean when I say greater than this? I mean people should have a little more enthusiasm. Show a little more conviction. Be more responsive and not so laid back as if everything is going to be fine because it's not going to be fine. People are still dying of U.S. aggression and "the anti-war -left" doesn't seem to notice or care just because the guy in office is slick and knows how to use his words being brighter than the one prior to him to manipulate the masses. Can't you see that's what he is doing? Can't you see he's just playing his role? Can't you see he's using the color of his skin and his parties title "democratic party" a party that doesn’t even live up to it's title by the way to swindle you into thinking he will fulfill your wishes and dreams? You people are smart enough to know by now that both parties are owned by corporations and the elites who run the world and both serve the military industrial complex that must be fed so long as it exists so long as we allow it to. It is time to wake up your sisters and brothers out of their trance so we can shake these great walls of oppression once again with our loud voices and movement. Do not abandon this. To do so would be unfair and a disservice to humanity by living a lie that was told of false peace n hope. Only peace and hope can begin with us. Peace and hope is a dream of the people. The politicians have another agenda. Get it through your skull. They will never see or understand what it means to be a nobody struggling to make ends meet in dark times as much as they may try to identify them selves with those who struggle their entire lives. They use our hopes and dreams only to get our votes and then when they get into office they cater to high society and forget about everybody else because they know we won’t fight back. Yes, that's the country you live in and you need to be vocal about it for democracy sake. The bank bailouts are more important than the poor bastard who just lost his job the other day and he's been struggling to find work ever since. Where the fuck is his bailout? Obama doesn't live that life and so he doesn't give a shit. The time to show up to a demonstration that goes beyond it's own expectations and has a mind of it's own once again is now! Those very same war policies we hated about the Bush Administration so much are pretty evident in the Obama Administration today and I know why nobodies out in the streets protesting. Don't be fooled anymore. Have some self respect. If it were Bush's face in the Whitehouse today you'd have riots rightfully so and that's what we should be seeing today, millions of people bringing life to the streets once again in an act of civil-disobedience to all authority but some how we are still stuck in the election phase when a year has passed by. The response of the anti-war left changes every 4-8 years via manipulation control. You are controlled by the election system that was set up to maintain order in a capitalist society only to maintain capitalism and infinite war for profit. WAKE UP, IT IS NOW TIME FOR YOU TO COME TO YOUR SENSES. The 2000 election should have been a wake-up call for many of you. Neither the democrats nor the republicans are an alternative to all the greed & devastation created by war. Maybe representative democracy is not entirely the way to go. Maybe a more democratic independent self-sustaining community isn't such a bad idea after all. How could one care about being conventional at this time when people are unjustly dying and we know who the perpetrators are? So much death is unnecessary. We know if the American government never went to the Middle East in 1953 that 911 would have never happened. The CIA even admits that 911 was blowback from American foreign policy. An alternative to government: volunteer, community cooperation, i.e. anarchist based society. It's the only thing that will ever get rid of all the liars and cheats in high command but a nation’s population must suffer to see that before they act on it. That kind of freedom is the only thing worth dying for just so we can all have some real peace once and for all.
