Walter Pincus of the Washington Post reports that the US-hired contractors already in Afghanistan have been paying protection money to Taliban and tribes to allow their convoys to transit without trouble. I.e. we have met the enemy and he is being paid by us.

It turns out now that John Kerry is a more suitable leader for the Democrats, and as I indicated elsewhere we are lucky he showed up in Copenhagen before our Rockefeller Republican arrives to politely put the damper on real change. His position on the war(s) was actually more moderate than O'bama, and he is far ahead on environmental issues.

Barack Obama is nothing other than a Rockefeller Republican.
That is where most of his campaign contributions came from in EACH of his campaigns.
He is the best representative they have ever had, and he has indeed fooled most of the people, most of the time - so far.
