its sad and disheartening for me to say that watching this brief video made me feel nothing but embarrassed for all parties involved. the peaceful protesters doing their normal poor job of getting their point across, getting arrested and yelling into the bullhorn about how bad Chevron is. the cops for coming out in riot gear to stave off the massive crowd of 50 people...jesus. what happened to direct action? and when did "getting organized" become synonymous with finger painting a banner. Chevron is a terrible terrible company. They are fully aware of what they are doing, do these protesters think that they are going to wake a corporation like chevron up in the two hours that they were locking arms in front of the main entrance? Even if the gate was opened and they were allowed in and allowed to speak directly with the CEO of Chevron itself, what would they say? What do they know of how Chevron works as a company? What do they even know about climate change except what they have heard through the media? The whole thing is f*cked, scrap it and start over.
