Sleep-In @ Peoples Park Tonight (Berkeley) Dec. 2nd

by Dickie
Hello Bay Area! Please come down to Peoples Park in Berkeley tonight for a Sleep-In.
Hello Bay Area! Please come down to Peoples Park in Berkeley tonight for a Sleep-In. We are asserting our inalienable rights to Steward the public land. We are in solidarity with our brothers and sisters of the native Ohlone tribes who are demanding their ancestors remains back from the custody of The State of California University system here at the Hearst Museum. Also, they are trying to protect further destruction of sacred burial grounds and shell mounds of their ancestors. We hold this space as Stewards, as our indigenous family before us, who lived in balance and reverence for our natural habitat. We will be convening for a barbecue at around 8pm and setting up camp to Sleep In. If you have a camera, bring it as there will be live music and most likely some interaction with the UC enforcement of their policies. Cameras do improve the accountability of law enforcement. Cop Watch will be present. We live in the park because we love to Steward it and to appreciate it as well as to participate in it's user created format. Our community is so alive and full of creative and expressive beings. There will be a Wing Nut Fashion Show courtesy of the free box. Calling all musicians and performers or otherwise, please come and share your light!
