Let's mark this date with a resounding declaration:

FIRE, DISBAR AND PROSECUTE THE TORTURE PROFESSOR!

As John Yoo's role in the Bush/Cheney Torture Team has come more and more to light, he has gone on the offensive, giving speeches and publishing commentaries. But his attempts to resume teaching at CAL have been repeatedly disrupted by protest and dissemination of truth about war crimes. His tenured position at Berkeley Law hinges on the disclosure of a Justice Department report due out any day now.

Be a part of history. Join other voices of conscience to say "good riddance" to this sorry episode in Boalt's history:

-12PM Sproul Plaza
Wear an orange jumpsuit to represent a torture victim.
March through campus.

-3PM Boalt Law School
John Yoo’s class starts at 3:20.
Call on law students and others to take stand against torture.

"The problem and shame of government-sponsored illegal, immoral torture is, obviously, far bigger than what happens at UC. However, John 'Crush the Testicles of a Suspect's Child' Yoo is one of the most well-known of the Bush war criminals to now be back in comfy academic or corporate berths, when they instead deserve to be prosecuted and fully held accountable for their crimes. If through mass political protest and resistance, people can force the firing, disbarment, and prosecution of one such war criminal - it will open new doors for the same kind of struggles elsewhere, hopefully everywhere the torture cabal has landed." - Stephanie Tang, WCW organizer
