December 19, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM Sonoma State University's Green Building Program presents: GREEN BUILDING: Materials and Indoor Air Quality Join us as we discuss the many considerations pertaining to materials selection, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). We examine the materials used as primary structural systems within the building envelope (roofing, siding/cladding, insulation, windows/glazing and moisture control) and at materials used within buildings (wall and ceiling finishes, flooring systems, cabinets and casework, adhesives and sealants, paints and stains). We will tour Sonoma Mountain Village and the SSU Recreation Center to learn how green building is being put into practice on a commercial and institutional scale. Cost of the class is $350.
