Doug Gilbert is Free! Support him Friday in Court!
Greetings all, coming to you live from the interwebs.

Doug Gilbert is now free, out on bail as of roughly 11:30 pm tonight, Thursday November 19th, and in the safe company of friends.

We want to give a big thank you to everyone locally and across the country who got into contact with us and offered their solidarity in whatever forms they could; it means a lot, and we love you.

For anyone who didn't make it to Doug's arraignment earlier today, we packed the courtroom with 40-50 people (about all they had seating for) and more outside. Thank you to everyone who made it out; we made a big impression. Thanks also specifically to people who have contributed to the legal fund so far; it may have been the shortest time that a group of 50 has ever produced enough money for a bail bond. Ever. <333

Doug's next appearance in court will be 9 AM tomorrow morning (Friday November 20th) at the same place. Exact details below.

Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse (Alameda County)
661 Washington St.
Oakland, CA
Department 107 (4th Floor)
Directions can be found here:

Note: As happened today, departments are often changed and Doug's may be tomorrow. Please try to arrive early, in order to meet up with supporters and be in the right place.

Again, thank you to everyone who has shown us support over the last two days; our hearts go out to you.

For information or to offer your support call the DGSC at 1.209.380.7904

We will shortly be setting up a PayPal account in order to make it easier for our friends to offer monetary support. If the charges are not dropped by this week, we will have at least gas and court fees to pay off. Stay tuned for more info, and again, thank you all!!

We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
