• 54 Samtrans lines to be cut and fares to be raised by 25¢ in December
• 40 San Mateo city employees laid off in June 2009
California Statewide
• $9 billion cut from education
• $1 billion cut from public transportation
• 230,000 state workers forced to take off three unpaid days per month until June 2010
BUT
• $21 billion tax cuts for corporations and the richest 1%
